My favorite part of this book, is how Sarah Ross has intertwined love and self-sacrifice and friendship. TheFriendship of Morgan and Tessa is amazing. Morgan, stays with her best friend, while she was in a coma for a year. After Tessa came out of the coma, Morgan than moves in with her. You learn of Tessa's Tragic day, that lead up to her being in a coma. You will learn about David and how his endearing love for tessa is so great, that he will be willing to give up everything to keep her safe.Echo of an Earth Angel is an easy read and keeps you hooked. I am excited to see what happens in the next novel. You cannot help but care what happens to the characters. I really liked the main characters and enjoyed the secondary characters also. Tessa is the main character, and David saves her by healing her when she's shot. Something goes wrong during the healing process, she lives but awakens as an angel, too. The book has a unique plot.Tessa is determined to get him back or die trying.
i wanted and expected to enjoy this as it was recommended to me. I was sorely disappointed :-(The writing is not well polished, there are editing errors and some very clumsy sentences.The story and characters are charactures dully drawn from over used tropes.
I received this ARC ebook from the author Sarah M. Ross herself for my honest review and I have to say that I really liked it. I like how different the story was to a lot of Angel books out there and often times found myself laughing out loud. I enjoyed Sarah's quick wit and writing style. What didn't convince me at first was how quick the two main characters fell in love, but halfway through the book, their love grew on me and I began to understood the self-sacrifice and choices they made. Sarah Ross did it again, and this time was even better than the last. I have officially fallen in love with another series, and of course, it would be one about angels, which has been my obsession for as long as I can remember.Ross' novel, about Tessa, an 18 year old girl who was supernaturally altered during a accident that resulted in the deaths of her parents, is a book I'd definitely recommend. This book was quite different from the normal YA PNR books I've read. Many of the angel based stories out there focus on the battle between heaven and hell, angels and demons, good versus evil, the fight to keep the apocalypse at bay, and although this story still had some of these elements, it was more about the betrayal and deception going on within the ranks of heaven itself. With the different type of angel factions, from Hunters to Incarnators, it was interesting and I wanted to know more.
