Description In Pursuance Of Books Blue is for Nightmares (Blue is for Nightmares #1)

I know your secret...

Stacey's junior year at boarding school isn't easy. She's not the most popular girl at school, or the smartest, or the prettiest. She's got a crush on her best friend's boyfriend, and an even darker secret that threatens to ruin her friendships for good. And now she's having nightmares again.

Not just any nightmares – these dreams are too real to ignore, like she did three years ago. The last time she ignored them, a little girl died. This time they're about Drea, her best friend who's become the target of one seriously psycho stalker. It started with weird e-mails and freaky phone calls.

Now someone's leaving Drea white lilies – the same death lilies that have been showing up in Stacey's dreams. Everybody thinks it's just a twisted game . . . until another girl at school is brutally murdered. There are no witnesses. Worst of all, no one has a perfect alibi. With everyone as a potential suspect, Stacey turns to the one secret weapon she can trust – the folk magic taught to her by her grandmother.

Will Stacey's magic be strong enough to expose the true killer, or will the killer make her darkest nightmares come true?

Judge Out Of Books Blue is for Nightmares (Blue is for Nightmares #1)
My initial rating would be 2 star but I changed my mind towards the ending because the suspense kept me on my toes. Personally, I didn't quite enjoy the book because the plot buildup was quite slow and messy in the beginning. It took me a while to understand if Stacey, the MC, was having a nightmare or was it like really happening in real life. I got a little confused, but then it got slightly better. It's a typical high school nonsense, falling in love with your best friend's on-and-off-and-on

I read these books ages ago and only just remembered about them, dying to re-read them all now - will review as soon as I can get my hands on a copy!

I think that this is my new favorite book. the plot is so thick and confusing and I love how the characters sometimes have these oh! moments and the three best friends relationship is more real than other best friends in books. it was so intense, I stayed up most of last night reading it and it was so terrifying! I loved it because it doesn't sprinkle sugar on anything, it's just hard and real and how it is. the way the author wove it together was amazing and I will definitely read the next

This book was kind of typical, but I still really liked the paranormal fantasy element and the characters were well-written and easy to relate to.

This review can also be found at http://fortheloveofbooksreviews.blogs... Stacey is a junior at a boarding school, a witch, and has been having nightmares about one of her best friends. In these nightmares, it is undeniable that Drea, her friend, is in trouble, and she soon worries that these dreams may come true when strange gifts and phone calls start arriving.Stacey uses the magic that her grandmother taught her with hopes to reveal who is behind all of this. But will she be able to unravel

Decided to read this while waiting for my car to get a WoF.Went in just wanting to kill time and was honestly pleasantly surprised. It's not an outrageously ground breaking book but it's definitely one, had I read at the time it was published, I would've loved it with my entire heart. The teen leads were semi realistic. I say that because I got annoyed by the characters a lot. I thought they were ruthlessly nasty at points, completely fake at others, and over all not very good at decision making.

Amazon rates this book for Grades 7-10, which I think is quite accurate. As an adult who reads a lot of YA novels, this one just didn't do anything for me. Yes, it had drama, yes, it had suspense, but there was little to no character development. A quick and easy read for middle schoolers for sure. The story takes place at a boarding school, which we are given absolutely no information on. We are also given no information on any of the characters. The story immediately winds up, fast paced, with
