Until Im old and gray, I will always champion the Warriors series as one of my all-time favorites, despite the fact that the first book wasnt published until I was 23 and they are supposedly written for 8-year-olds.If you arent familiar, the Warriors books follow four clans of what we would call feral cats that battle each other, and sometimes work together towards common enemies (two-legs, dogs, rogue cats, etc.). The first arch begins when a kittypet (house cat) is recruited into ThunderclanSecond read: September 22-25, 2017 Wow! I had forgotten how intense this last book was. I was glued to the pages at the end. It was surprising how much I did not remember. I had completely forgotten about the treacherous bone hill and the tragic scene that played out there. I was urging those cats on to escape; gut wrenching! It was great to reread the first series. I first read this series when I was 13 and I'm 21 now; I can say that I enjoyed them just as much as I did the first time around. I
This book contains suspense, action, and is a true epic. The Warriors series itself is a magnificent adventure. In this book specifically, it has alot of action and unexpected surprizes, you can hardly stop reading because nomatter where you stop you want to read more.
An amazing ending to the book and not what you would expect as BloodClan came in the way - curtsy of Tigerstar. In the end all 4 Clans had to come together to defeat BloodClan who had declared the forest theirs, not RiverClan and ShadowClan against WindClan and ThunderClan like I'm sure everyone thought it was going to be.This time it was Darkstripe's turn to show where his loyalties lie. In the end, with no one as he attacked his former leader and left TigerClan in reaction to Tigerstar's
The darkest hour was one of my favorite warriors books. Scourage and the rest of blood clan was a very cool detail in this story. Scince scourage kills one of the cats, (didn't want to be a real spoiler) because they dissaprove of a fight, the real battle begins. Firestar loses his first life and I loved the interaction with Firestar and Starclan. Totally recommendend this book to any young reader.
A disappointing ending to an otherwise surprisingly poignant series. I'm wondering if a new author joined the circle of Erin Hunter when this book came along. It felt disconnected, maybe rushed, and lacked the depth and substance of character that makes the previous five books so captivating. There were also some painfully obvious, heavy-handed christianity themes present in this book that might not have been so distracting had the rest of it been a gratifying experience - but it wasn't. The
This is the sixth and last book in the Warriors series. It appears to be the first series of many about wild cats. With more than 300 pages, this is a great book for children to start expanding their reading comprehension abilities and challenging themselves with longer books. I love books that get our girls excited to read and this series did that for our youngest. She is in love with this series! I like to read whatever they are reading, so we can chat about the stories and discuss the
