Jack appeared at my door last night after six months of no communication wearing a Mets jersey and holding a dozen red roses. He told me he was sorry, that he loved me, and that he would earn my trust again. It took everything in me to not fall apart at the mere sight of him. I wanted to take him back into my life, but I needed to know that this time it would be forever…In J. Sterling’s highly anticipated follow-up to her USA Today bestselling novel The Perfect Game, Jack and Cassie quickly realize that their new lifestyle can often be cruel and unforgiving. Their happiness is put to the test as the past is never truly far behind.
How do you stay together when the world's trying to tear you apart?

Pre-reading:What is this about?? I thought it ended with TPG? Seemed like a good ending for me at that time but what the hell, if Sterling wishes to write more of Jack and Cassie then I'm more than willing! Can't wait for the release! P.S. i kinda haven't completely forgiven Jack also.Post reading:I stand by what I said pre-releasing of TGC, that TPG already had the perfect ending. I feel that the development of major conflicts were a bit lacking. Like Matteo's for example, his and Cassie'sAm I the only one who is hoping that this sequel isnt real, or that if its real, its actually just The Perfect Game told from the perspective of another character? The way The Perfect Game ended was fine. Cassie and Jack's story seemed over to me. The only reason I could think of as to why there would be a sequel is that Jack is gonna fuck up. Again. And in all honesty, I'm not interested in having my heart ripped out by him again. The first book ended with the two of them living "happily ever
I am scared to read this book after finishing the last one. But ALAS... I will read it and hope to god that Jack doesnt fuck up like he did last time. I will seriously hunt his fictional ass down. EditWell I read it and thank God i didn't have to kill Jack! That would have sucked. I know some people got annoyed with Cassie, but I didn't. I think I would have reacted the same way as she did to everything. So I can't blame the girl. I liked the second half of the book more than the first half...

Update: 25.07.2013 So,okay. At first I was like... Jack: But the more I read the angrier I became. All of the bad things he did to Cassie came back. I couldn't forget the fact that he C-H-E-A-T-E-D (To painfull to say)... And she forgave him so fast! I loved Jacked in the first book, but somehow I couldn't continue... I'm not a masochist!I tried to give you a second chance Jack! I'm sorry, I tried ok? I tried...BUT...No matter what:I'll never let you go, Jack. I'll always remember the nights we
Teaser #1: (Jacks POV)And just like that she was gone. But not before saying the two fucking words that plague my nightmares. This girl is always asking me to prove it. I deserve it after everything Ive put her through. She doesnt trust me anymore.I wouldnt trust me either. Its ironic though right? That Im the one left standing all alone in a parking lot this time. I swear if my heart could leap out of my chest and into my hands, it would. I imagined that for a momentthe blood trickling through
So... looking at the reviews for this one, it seems like readers will either LOVE it or HATE it... not much in-between... I for one LOVED IT! Jack Carter is my ALL TIME favorite Jerk. Is it just me, or do you all just melt when he calls Cassie Kitten? Even though Jack was far from perfect in The Perfect Game, I still fell for him. For all those that didnt love Jack in book one, he really turns it around in this one, and for all those like me who loved him in book one, you will love him more in
Loved this book! 4.5 stars! The only part I had a hard time with was when Jack have her a hard time for wanting to take a break for a couple of days...how can he get mad at her after he cheated?! Other than that, it very much lived up to my expectation! Thank you J. Sterling!
