Interpretation To Books Hush Money (Talent Chronicles #1)

They call their abilities Talents, and that’s what they call themselves as well. Talents are people born with supernatural powers, feared by the population at large. Possession of an “unregistered ability” has become illegal, and those who are discovered are forcibly removed to government-run research facilities. For Talents, keeping their secret is the most important thing in their lives. For some, that need for secrecy begins to define who they are.

That’s how it is for Joss, a high school girl who does everything in her power to go unnoticed. She's incredibly bright, but strives to maintain grades that are good yet not too good. She doesn't participate in school activities, keeps quiet in class, eats by herself. Despite her longtime crush on Dylan, she wouldn't even think about trying to talk to him. Joss doesn't make friends of any kind, because friends can draw attention, friends can make you slip up, friends can make things complicated.

When new girl, Kat, steps in to rescue Joss from an uncomfortable situation with Marco, the class jerk, she doesn’t realize what she’s getting into, and it blows up in her face. Joss finds herself torn between a desire to do the right thing, to find some way to help a girl who was kind to her; and her need to mind her own business and fade into. For the first time, Joss begins to question the way she operates, and starts to long for connections with other people--especially a connection with Dylan, who's finally starting to talk to her.

But what's up with Dylan's sudden interest? As Marco’s best friend, can he be trusted at all?

It's bad enough when a girl's got to worry about friends, boys, over-protective dads, and shoes that pinch, but when you throw in blackmail, government agents with guns, and really annoying little sisters...that's just about too much to handle, even for a girl with an ass-kicking superpower.

Criticize Appertaining To Books Hush Money (Talent Chronicles #1)
Read complete review on my blog: http://reenajacobs.com/blog/2010/11/n...Page one, this book transported me back to grade school and kept me there. Ms. Bischoff captured the details exactlythe insecurities, the joys, the trials. Talk about reminiscing. After a few pages, I didnt want to put this book down. Only sanity telling me I should sleep at some point before the kids started to wake in 2 hours got me in the bed. Then I forced myself to knock out my daily word count goals before picking it

I just finished Hush Money and am totally jonesing for the next book already! Loved this book. The main character, Joss, is snarky, strong, insecure, and protective-all things that make her a realistic heroine. I enjoyed her voice and also reading things from Dylan's (her crush) point of view. The back and forth between the two really kept the story moving. The action sequences were written well-easy to imagine and quite exciting! I can't wait to find out more about all of the characters and how

You remember the early seasons of Smallville, back when Clark was mooning over Lana, they were all still in high school, and every week was an episode about stopping some isolated problem and the important thing was keeping his secret? If you're like me and really miss those days, Hush Money is absolutely for you. In a market that's positively flooded with stories about teen vampires or fairies, Bischoff provides a refreshing and absolutely believable world about teenagers with superpowers.

Ive been in kind of a reading slump lately. No, really. I havent been able to get into a book and have had to force myself through them for a couple of months now. Its not the books Ive been reading, because theyve all been good, but I just havent been yanked into a story and kept there.Until Hush Money. From the very first sentence, I was drawn in and I literally couldnt put the book down. Even knowing that I had to get up at the crack of dawn the next day, I stayed up until 2am reading this

Jocelyn (Joss) is a Talent. That means she has supernatural abilities. But having these powers has become illegal. That's why all of those who have been discovered are taken away by force to some government-run research facility. Yeah, its as fun as it sounds. The Talents there are treated like lab rats, and not too nicely. That is why it is important for Joss and her family to keep her (and her sisters) powers a secret. That is also why its important to her to not stand out in a crowd. She does

Taking into consideration its target audience, i think that Hush Money was a really enjoyable read. Unlike most YA Fiction authors i have read recently, Susan Bischoff doesn't seem to have felt the need to fill her pages with vastly overstated description or thersaurus bashing purple prose (*cough* Twilight *cough*). Her writing style is neat, her characters are all developed appropriately (the development doesn't just end at the protaganist it extends to her family, her friends and, in this

Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! Oh, my gosh! O_O I promise I don't have an echolalia. I just couldn't help it! The book was enthralling and never failed to give me palpitations from excitement, the thrill!!! I so loved it. I'm recommending it to people who love mystery, supernatural stuff, romance. Oh, everyone! There. Can I just stop and only say IT'S TOTALLY AMAZING!?!Seriously, it is so amazing my heart's still pounding hard just by thinking about it and looking at the book's cover. It's a book for
