The Renfield Syndrome (Rhiannon's Law #2)
Rhiannon thought facing off against a deranged child vampire was the most dangerous task she would ever have to undertake, but she’s about to discover making a deal with a demon is far, far worse. Sent forward into another reality, one in which vampires are now dominating nearly extinct humans, she realizes the sooner she returns to her vampire lover, Disco, the better.
Unfortunately, time changes a lot of things; including those most trusted around her. When she’s faced with a loss and betrayal unlike any she has ever known, her focus shifts from severing the debt between the demon that wants to kill her, to exacting a revenge that will bring forth consequences she never could have fathomed. By reaching out to the darkness lingering within her, she’ll find the strength to push forward despite the circumstances that would see her dead and buried.
After all, when it’s all said and done, all that she has left to lose is her soul.
Ok she is now on the top of my list of female leads that will not be tolerated.Rhiannon is worse in this book imo. I was all ready to tolerate her and put her in perspective, then men all start falling all over her, and she gets even stronger to back up her arrogance..

* * * * 1/2In Six Words:surpassed all of my crazy expectationsWhy did I read this? And am I glad I did?I really enjoyed the first in this series, Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between, which ended with a HUGE cliffhanger that was so amazing that I could barely be mad about it. So after an epic battle of wills with Amanda (which I won), I started this book as soon as it was available. I was not in any way disappointed. I laughed. I cried. I cussed in surprise on multiple accounts. Just when I

Dead, Undead or Somewhere in Between ended with a monster game-changing cliffhanger, leaving readers tearing their hair out, needing to know what would happen to Rhiannon, Disco and the others. The Renfield Syndrome begins with Rhiannon finding herself 101 years in the future. Things have changed. Vampires no longer remain in secrecy, they aren't the only supernatural creatures around and humans are on the brink of extinction.Rhiannon is still as badass as ever, but understandably off balance

I'll write my review when I can figure out how to write the review without ruining it for everyone. With the major cliffhanger in book 1, if I talk about any characters in book 2, you'll know who "survived" in Rhiannon's new future. In the meantime, I will say this...I read this book during work hours, I read it when I should have been sleeping and I was so sad when the pages came to an end. It was...... much better than book 1 and I LOVED book 1.... full of action, was dark and gritty. ...Ok she is now on the top of my list of female leads that will not be tolerated.Rhiannon is worse in this book imo. I was all ready to tolerate her and put her in perspective, then men all start falling all over her, and she gets even stronger to back up her arrogance..
