Narrative In Pursuance Of Books What's a Ghoul to Do? (Ghost Hunter Mystery #1)
M.J., her partner Gilley, and their client, the wealthy, de-lish Dr. Steven Sable, are at his family's lodge, where his grandfather allegedly jumped to his death from the roof-although Sable says it was foul play. But the patriarch's isn't the only ghost around. The place is lousy with souls, all with something to get off their ghoulish chests. Now M.J. will have to to quell the clamor-and listen for a voice with the answers...

I was really excited to read this book because I love the Psychic Eye Mysteries Victoria Laurie also writes. I'm not a picky reader, but I'm sorry, this didn't quite do it for me and I ended up very disappointed.I was hoping they'd be different from the P. E. Mysteries, but still have similar elements of style. Even though I like romance, this book was supposed to be a mystery, hence A Ghost Hunter Mystery on the cover, but the mystery is thrown in around the rather awkwardly written romanceThis was the first book I've read by this author and I really liked it. Just the right amount of paranormal elements, suspense, mystery, romance, and humor. I particularly liked Doc, the talking parrot. M.J. Holliday is a psychic medium who got tired of the whole medium thing and started ghostbusting instead. Now she helps ghosts (kindly and vengeful) to cross over to the other side. When Dr. Steven Sable requests her assistance in finding out what really happened to his grandfather and if his
I'm not really into the "cozy mystery" genre, but What's a Ghoul to Do? wasn't bad. Complete with elements of supernatural charm, friendship and spookiness, it's a strangely compelling story in the vein of the Japanese manga series Ghost Hunt but in a more western Gothic style. It's also not so dark it's "scary", either. With a good balance of creepiness and humor, even if you're not much of a ghost story person, chances are you'll still enjoy some aspect of it.As is often the case with this

Fun read. Main character communicates with ghosts and tries to get them to cross to the other side. Book was a funny, whodunnit mystery.
This is a new author for me. It is first book in the Ghost Hunter series which I am reading for a Yahoo group. I found a well written book by an experience author. At times I was enthralled with the story, other times I was disgusted with it and stopped reading for awhile. I am finding it hard to rate. I would like to give it 3 1/2 stars I normally give the book the higher rating. I found Dr Steven's language idiotic by the end of the book. At times I found the paranormal activities hard to
This series is going to be one of my favorite cozy series. I flew through this book in 1.5 nights haha
This is a somewhat weird book, but lots of fun. While the ghosts make the story fun and interesting, the true mystery is something quite real. And, although the reader may figure out fairly early on who is behind the murders, there is still a surprise in the end. Very entertaining read!
