Representaion As Books The Attributes of God
The foundation of our knowledge of God rests upon knowing what he is like. Without understanding God's attributes, we have a skewed perception of him--often one cast in our own image. We need more than just a theoretical knowledge of God in order to worship him as he desires. This classic work of Arthur W. Pink invites readers to discover the truth about seventeen attributes of God, including his sovereignty, immutability, patience, love, faithfulness, and much more. Pink shows readers a God who is alive, all-powerful, and active in his creation. The perfect introductory text, The Attributes of God also has enough depth and meat to satisfy the more experienced reader.Rating Containing Books The Attributes of God

He did a great job on this. He doesnt give cold statistics. He directs you to worship. And he quotes quite a bit from Stephen Charnock, which is why Im now reading his book. This book is a classic that every Christian should read. Loved it!

They will allow Him to be in His workshop to fashion worlds and make stars. They will allow Him to be in His almonry to dispense His alms and bestow His bounties. They will allow Him to sustain the earth and bear up the pillars thereof, or light the lamps of heaven, or rule the waves of the ever-moving ocean; but when God
Good reading as a devotional. Each chapter is on a different attribute of God, such as God's faithfulness, goodness, wrath and patience. I like how Pink does make a distinction between God's patience and mercy, where one emphasis is on God's slowness to anger and the other is God's goodness in consideration of the good of those who are recieving mercy. One wonders what is the order of the arrangement of the chapters though. Other than that, as I said above, it is good primarily for a devotional
