The good thing about Sarah Dessen is that you always know exactly what you're getting when you pick up one of her books. The bad thing is that you always know exactly what you're getting when you pick up one of her books. Dessen may not repeat herself as much as, say, John Green, but her books are definitely all in the same milieu. White teen girl with family issues, cute boy, quirky friends, throw in a blender and hit frappe. Some of the details in this story (the frequent moves, the restaurantI finished this book yesterday afternoon when I was sitting in the waitingroom at my doctor's office and really had nothing else to do ... which probably says enough.Seriously, I consider myself a Sarah Dessen fan. I have read almost all of her books and enjoyed the majority of them to various degrees. What Happened To Goodbye, however, was a huge disappointment for me.
