I have a love-hate feeling with the triumvirate of Alec Cain - Eve Hollis - Reed Abel. I love how strong their souls were connected as if all three of them were one unit. Just like Eve, I love both men. How can any female resist Cain and Abel? But I hate that because Eve loves one man and covets the other, it hurts both men, or all three of them in the process. They were all suffering in their own ways because of their strong bonds with each other. Sometimes it's so complicated that I think aI just have to say that Tor's marketing for this series is absolute genius. They released the first book, Eve of Darkness, at the end of April. This one, Eve of Destruction, followed on June 1, and the finale, Eve of Chaos, came out on June 30. I call this genius marketing because they are perfect beach reads and it's hard to imagine having to wait a year (or more) for the next installment. I think the series would probably lose momentum if the reader had to wait for the next volume.Eve of

We find all our characters in a different story. Indeed, while Cain is sent to investigate the facts that took place in the first volume, Eve must take courses in order to become a true Mark. A staggering disappointment. The main character does nothing for the first 349 pages other than tell us how hot she is and how everyone either loves her or is jealous. All action happens off camera. When it does happen, it's lame. By all rights, the main character should have been killed again for stupidity. People pop in and out of room to remove a necklace that no one has noticed before now. She leaves her only weapon AGAIN to face the ultimate infernal unarmed. At the end an unnamed woman
Contains spoilers: I have really enjoyed the series thus far. The continuous sibling rivalry (with celestial powers) between Abel and Cain is almost as hilarious as Eve's adventures. And an archangel with a cellphone playing Handels hallelujah- lol! I am starting to get a bad feeling about Cains ancestry, though. When you take into the account the lilins who call him "brother", Sammaels reaction, and the color of his wings, I am beginning to wonder if Cain just maybe, has some archangel blood
Guys, I am loving this series! Everyone probably loves Cain but I am all about Abel.
