The Son (Divergent #0.3)
Fans of the Divergent series by #1 New York Times bestselling author Veronica Roth will be thrilled by "Four: The Son," the third of four stories, each between fifty and seventy-five pages long, set in the world of Divergent and told from Tobias's perspective.
In "The Son," Tobias struggles to find a place in the hierarchy of the Dauntless. He also begins to suspect that a foul plan may be brewing within the Dauntless leadership and discovers a truth about his past that could greatly affect his future.
I liked this novella and getting a glimpse into the build-up of what was going on in the Dauntless faction before Tris showed up. It made me even sadder though, knowing how the whole thing ended.
2.5 meh! uselessNever liked Four as a "Son" never really liked his parents, so yes. I'll take Zeke and Shauna, the rest can burn. :D ByesPD: alguien mas AMA esa portada? Esta bien padreeeeeeeeeee!
It emphasises the importance of being in charge and calling the shots in your life. It reminded of something a friend of mine usually says: "you are the main character in your own story..."
Really? Really Veronica ? Do you really think killing off the main female lead and STILL publishing the back story of the male lead is wise.... Do you really ?? Because, to be honest, I didnt really find Tobias very likable in Allegiant. I didn't and I'm sad about that but THAT IS THE BITTER TRUTH !!! Do you think you can still keep telling us how fascinating Tobias finds Tris ...??!! Wasn't it bad enough you KILL off the lead, but NOooOOoo !! You HAVE to rub it in our face saying, "HA HA,
This installment of the "Four Prequels" had some very strange revelations, especially in the context of the rest of the series. I wound up being rather perplexed by the revelations overall, especially since I knew that these were written after the original series! The events didn't mesh well at all with what I already knew. Very disconcerting to this reader...

So before I reviewed the last book/part I should have read this one first. I am so impressed by Veronica's writing ability. Everything that I wish was different because it was "boring" or "simple" had a purpose behind it and was explained in this book. Wow! She is a great writer and this book is very addictive. I like these books way more than 2nd and 3rd books in the trilogy.I love these novellas. I only watched the first 2 movies and read the last book. Four was such a whiny sissy in Allegiant. But I especially love him in The Son. He is quiet, brooding and I wouldn't call him a strong person. He is just someone who don't have a choice but to be strong for survival. One very important trait of him, he is a person who can think for himself. He even stressed the importance of it Max doesn't want someone like me, someone who can think for himself, develop his ownI liked this novella and getting a glimpse into the build-up of what was going on in the Dauntless faction before Tris showed up. It made me even sadder though, knowing how the whole thing ended.
